Description
Have you admired quilts but felt like you lacked the know how to make one yourself?
Welcome to this very simple beginner’s project class!
In 5 weeks this summer, you will learn how to tie knots, thread needles, use a sewing machine, and piece 117 5.5″ squares together into a soft, beautiful quilt top, ready to be sent out for long arming, or layered, basted, and quilted in a subsequent class this fall.
All you need is a fabric bundle* (kits sold in the shop!), some patience, and time to spend with new friends at Rock Paper Scissors- the North Shore’s newest craft lounge.
This class is open to all crafters ages 10 and over. While structured like an adult class, teens and tweens will definitely get the attention and instruction needed at their levels.
Class Meets Tuesdays, 7-9pm. 7/15, 7/22, 7/29, 8/5 & 8/12.
You can make this quilt by hand or by machine (please specify your preference when registering). If you are bringing your own sewing machine, please email Jess or Claudine so table space can be prepared. We have 5 sewing machines for class use at the lounge.
*If you would like to provide your own fabric, please prepare 117 cotton fabric squares that measure 5.5″ a piece. Fabric cutting is available for a small fee, please send an email: lifeunderquilts@gmail.com
