DESCRIPTION:This November and December\, join us on Zoom in the very first Quilters’ Study Hall program! \nMy virtual classes for the Si Beagle program are very popular\, but there are long gaps between semesters! For that reason\, I will be offering a two hour study hall on Wednesdays and Thursdays in November and December\, from 10am-noon. \nThis is a chance for folks to keep up the momentum on their projects and not lose the healthy stitching routine each week. It is a dedicated time each week to get questions answered and tricky techniques explained and demonstrated. Work on any project from one of my past classes\, or start something new.  \n**Although designed to work with the Si Beagle program calendar\, this program is not limited to UFTWF members. DESCRIPTION:Quilting Class: English Paper Piecing\n\n\n \nFridays: August 4\, 11\, 18\, 25\, & September 1\, 8\, 15\, 22 \nThis is a beginner friendly quilting class. The patchwork technique of English Paper Piecing is done by hand; no sewing machine required. Learn a few simple stitches and watch the patterns come together as we stitch through the summer. Students will work through techniques from Jessica’s book\, Quilting on the Go\, completing a laptop/tablet sleeve. A supply list will be emailed prior to class. \nAlthough we will follow the Laptop sleeve pattern from Quilting on the Go\, experienced quilters may choose any EPP design for their project top.  We will play with graph paper\, colored pencils\, and all sorts of shapes throughout the 8 week program.

DESCRIPTION:This relaxed hand sewing group meets twice a month at the Lakeview Library.  The $10 materials charge covers all 10 weeks of the program so you may use the class supplies and fabric in our projects. \nLakeview Library Hand Quilting for the Soul\nTuesdays 1:30-3pm\n4/20-  UFO Show n Tell.  Bring any stalled or unfinished project and we can figure out how to finish it together.  \n5/4 &18- English Paper Piecing.  Come work with hexagons of all sizes! We will make lavender sachets or large pin cushions\, your choice.\n6/1 &15- Appliqué . Broderie Perse- we will cut out motifs from patterned fabric and apply them to background blocks. Bring in your favorite novelty prints or use materials provided.\n7/6 &20- Echo Quilting. Practice this meditative pattern that looks like ripples on water. You can try with thin quilting thread or perle cotton.\n8/3 & 17- Appliqué. Reverse needleturn appliqué with 2 fabrics.  Turn line drawings into beautiful fabric panels- suitable to use as a wall hanging or can be enlarged for a quilt.\n9/7- Show n Tell. Bring in any of the projects you have completed lately to share with the group.\n \nThe Hand Quilting for the Soul group meets the first and third Thursdays from 1:30-3pm. All materials are provided but you are welcome to bring your own projects to stitch.  A “share table” will be set up to discard any unwanted fabric or sewing supplies.  Your ufo could be someone’s next masterpiece! Please bring home anything remaining at 3pm.\nCome stitch and laugh with us and set down your worries for a while.

DESCRIPTION:This February\, I am starting a virtual stitching group to share some hand sewing techniques and talk about how they have helped me process the grief from so many losses through the years. The meetings will be held at lunch time\, EST\, on Tuesdays. 12-2pm. I hope you can make it\, feel free to let your friends know.
