In-Person Quilting Workshop: Strings

Come over to our Hicksville studio and play in bins of thin strips of fabric, mostly left over from trimming up other quilts.  It’s time to learn what to do with these humble scraps.

In this workshop we will:

• Learn how string quilts are constructed onto a paper or fabric foundation.
• Play with orientation of the strings and shapes of foundation papers to see what amazing patterns are possible.
• Encourage each other, share fabric, stories, blocks, and inspiration.
• Practice and reinforce your hand and machine sewing skills.

Two sessions will be held in March– Saturday, 3/9 and Saturday 3/23. Come to one ($75) or both ($75×2). If you want to try all sorts of stitching this spring, consider our 6-Class Pass. Click below for more information.
